Steve DiCarlo joined Metro Appraisals in July, 2006 after an extensive career in the appraisal business.
Steve has developed areas of expertise in single family residential, condominiums, acreage and Lake Lanier properties. As real estate and the appraisal business have continued to evolve, Steve has found that his years of experience have translated into a nuanced, ongoing understanding of the North Georgia market. He continues to develop his appraisal expertise by taking multiple continuing education classes.
He started in the appraisal business in 1972, working as a staff appraiser for Scott Hudgens Real Estate and Mortgage Company in College Park, Georgia. In 1975, he became Head of the Appraisal Department. Having established himself in the Atlanta real estate market, he ran his own appraisal business throughout the 1980s.
After a number of years on the West Coast where he continued to be self-employed, he returned to Forsyth County and re-established himself as an Owner-Independent Fee Appraiser out of Cumming, Georgia and became a State Licensed Real Property Appraiser.
Having played college football at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, Steve has retained his enthusiasm for the game of football and likes to correctly identify the penalty called on the field before the ref announces it. He also enjoys the hunting and fishing grounds of Georgia.
